Getting The Right Tools Together
It’s important to make sure you have the tools for the job. Depending on the scale, shape, and size of the task at hand you may need an assortment of cutting tools to make the tree look just right. Here are a few tools and what they are used for:

Pruning Shears – Available in both scissor and anvil action models, the scissor design is often preferred because it makes a cleaner cut.

Lopping Shears – Operated with both hands, this scissor-action tool can slice through branches up to 2 inches in diameter. Always be careful when using these.

Pole Pruner – Good for reaching higher branches. If you own a pole pruner, great. If you need to know the best place to rent one, just ask and we’ll tell you.

If you’re looking to do all of your own tree trimming, we will be your biggest cheerleaders. If you ever need advice, a quick tip, or just have a quick question, please call us anyways.
